About Pierce Street Ironworks

 

We opened Pierce Street Ironworks about 9 years ago at 80 Pierce Street when we moved to Greenfield from Conway Mass where we were known as Conway Tool & Forge.

 

Our Greenfield location is formerly know as The Chauncey Wing Factory and Foundry. Chauncey Wing manufactured everything from race cars to baby carriages. They are best known for the Wing Mailer which was used to affix address labels to magazines and circulars.

 

Along with the brick foundry building which we house the metal shop in we also own the adjoining building which contains Wing's original workshop as well as studio space for local artists and crafters.
